What you're actually booking
The sea floor falls away to a thousand metres barely a mile off the west coast, which is why Mauritius holds world records for blue marlin. We fish it properly: a game boat with a fighting chair, outriggers, a captain who has done this his whole life and full Shimano tackle.
A half day is around six hours on the water, trolling the drop-off for marlin, yellowfin tuna, wahoo and dorado. Everything is provided — rods, reels, lures, bait, ice, drinks and safety gear.
Catch and release is encouraged on billfish; edible species can be shared with the crew or taken back to your hotel kitchen.

Pickups and drop-offs within Flic-en-Flac are included in the cost. Pickups anywhere else on the island can be arranged for a small additional fee — just tell us where you're staying when you book and we'll quote it.
Prices shown are a starting point, based on a standard pickup in Flic-en-Flac. Entrance tickets, lunches, drinks and optional activities are pay-as-you-go on the day unless listed as included, and pickups outside Flic-en-Flac carry a small extra fee. Any additional costs are confirmed with you before you travel.
